দাবানল কিভাবে তৈরি হয়

How are fires created? Last year, a terrible fire broke out in Hawaii, England. About 80 percent of the historic town of Lahaina on the island of Maui has been burned to ashes. Among them, hundreds of people died. Hundreds more went missing. And more than two thousand houses were completely destroyed.

Lahaina is known as the beach resort city of Hawaii Deeppunze. Many rich people of America live in this island of Hawaii. Among them is the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. The city was also known as the most popular tourist destination of Deeppunj. A few months ago, the wildfires were one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the state of Hawaii and the entire United States.

What are wildfires and why did the Hawaii Deeppunze fire become so deadly and how do wildfires form? I will discuss that with you today in this blog.

How fires are created

Wildfires generally refer to fires occurring in forest areas. A forest fire is not easily controlled if it occurs in a dry environment such as wildfire. Starting from the leaves of the forest, all the trees, big and small, started to push this fire forward. Able to move at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour, this fire consumes everything in its path. For that reason, in most cases, the fire of the fire burns in your mind as long as you like. But most of the times these fires are caused by humans.

According to the US Forest Service, about 85 percent of fires in America are caused by humans. Most wildfires are caused by people’s careless fires, such as careless campfires or cigarette burns. Some researchers say that only one percent of wildfires are caused by natural fires. Among these, lightning and volcanic fire are the most notable.

America’s forest regions are subject to fires about a million times a year in various ways. As a result, about 20 lakh hectares of land were burnt to ashes. In the past 30 years, millions of hectares of forest in the Amazon forest of South America, the rain forest of the Congo in Africa, and the island of Sumatra in Indonesia have been destroyed by human-caused fires. These fires were created after forests were set on fire to create new farmland.

Harmful effects of fire

The harmful effects of wildfires can spread far beyond the affected area. Wildfires can also form firestorms, fire cyclones or fire tornadoes. Which, like a river, pushes the fire forward. Not only this, the smoke and ash of wildfires can also spread to far-off areas. Smoke from wildfires in the Siberian taiga forest has darkened the Japanese city of Osaka, about 3,000 miles away. Ashes from Australia’s Black Friday’s Boost fire flew nearly 2,000 miles to New Zealand.

Fires, whether man-made or natural, are harmful at first, but they also have many beneficial aspects. Due to fire, the environment is purified by burning the dead and decaying material of the forest. Nutrients stored in tree stems are returned to the soil after a fire. In addition, all harmful insects and pathogens are destroyed. As a result, after a certain period of time, the forest ecosystem regenerates again.

Why are the fires in Hawaii so deadly?

The Hawaiian Islands consist of 8 large islands. An island located almost in the middle of these islands is Maui. About 13 thousand people lived in the town of Lahaina on this island. A weather warning was issued for Hawaii Island in early August last year. It is said that the islands of Hawaii will experience high winds and very dry weather. Add to that the unusual summer temperatures of last year.

All in all, this region creates an ideal situation for wildfires to occur. But that weather warning was later lifted. After the fire started, the US authorities could not understand how the wildfire started. Under normal conditions, fires are not supposed to be so destructive. The Bureau of Meteorology in the Hawaii subcontinent says that Hurricane Dora’s influence brought high winds from the Pacific Ocean into Hawaii. Those strong storm winds rise over the rugged mountain ranges of the island of Maui. And from there it rushes down towards the sea coast.

This wind flow from the top of the mountain pushed the wildfires toward the main town of Lahaina. Experts say there is another reason Hawaii’s wildfires are so widespread. Different species of grass plants have been brought to this region from different parts of the world. These exotic grasses absorb more water vapor from the air than native grasses. As a result, the environment has become more dry and fires have spread easily. Scientists say this is due to man-made climate change and overuse of fossil fuels. Common natural disasters are becoming more and more dire.

The most dangerous form of fire occurs during volcanic eruptions. Volcanoes are the most destructive geological processes on our planet. Volcanoes are vents where hot molten rock, ash, and gas erupt underground. Currently, there are about one and a half thousand active volcanoes in the whole world. And every year around 50 to 70 volcanoes erupt around the world.

Hope you understand how a fire is created. If you have any question then you can comment it.
